Hydrangea macrophylla Flame Hot Pink

Flame Hot Pink is a double-flowered lacecap-style hydrangea. Its height can reach 1.2 m and its width 1 m. It produces large flower heads 20-25 cm in diameter in early summer. The flower color is affected by the soil pH. In acidic soil it is blue, while in alkaline soil the flowers will be bright pink. It needs a partially shaded spot and well-structured, slightly acidic soil. Its water needs are high. In case of severe frosts, young plants should be covered. It can be planted in a pot, but also combined in perennial beds.
